Home Depot Posts Mixed Q4 Earnings, Hikes Dividend By 10%, Forecasts Decline In FY23 EPS
  • Home improvement retailer Home Depot Inc (NYSE: HD) reported fourth-quarter FY22 sales growth of 0.3% year-on-year to $35.83 billion, marginally missing the consensus of $35.97 billion.

  • Customer transactions for the quarter fell 6%. Comparable sales decreased by 0.3%, and comparable sales in the US slipped 0.3%.

  • Gross profit rose 0.5% Y/Y to $11.9 billion. The operating margin was 13.3%, and operating income for the quarter fell 1.5% to $4.75 billion.

  • The operating expenses increased 1.9% Y/Y to $7.2 billion.

  • EPS of $3.30 beat the analyst consensus of $3.28.

  • The average ticket in Q4 was $90.05, a 5.8% growth, and sales

Spring Home Show kicks off successful year for many contractors & small home improvement business owners

PEORIA (25 News Now) – The 2023 Annual Spring Home Show continued Saturday at the Peoria Civic Center.

140 vendors from all over Illinois, some as far as Effingham, came out to meet with homeowners to discuss projects they’re working on.

Some vendors offered services like gutter replacements, Jacuzzis, windows and everyday staples like mops and fancy brooms.

It’s the largest home show in the state, put on by the Home Builders Association of Peoria, Executive Director Lisa Scott, says some homeowners come out to plan projects years in advance.

Tim Allen flashes ‘Home Improvement’ co-star in resurfaced clip

Maybe it was “Tool Time” after all.

Tim Allen was filmed playfully flashing his “Home Improvement” co-star Patricia Richardson in a newly resurfaced clip.

In the blooper scene, Allen, who played Richardson’s husband on the ABC sitcom, is dressed in a kilt as the actress says, “Hangs long. I just wish it was shorter.”

Allen then lifts his kilt, and while the camera does not show what was underneath it, Richardson, 71, clarified to TMZ Tuesday, “He was well-dressed under there. I was just shocked that he lifted the kilt, not by a man in boxer shorts.”

Monroe County Home Builders Association show set for Feb.  24-26

The 42nd Home Improvement & Outdoor Living Show will take place Feb. 24-26 at the First Merchants Bank Expo Center at the Monroe County Fairgrounds, 3775 S. Custer Road. Times are 4 to 8 pm Feb. 24, 10 am to 6 pm Feb. 25 and 11 am to 5 pm Feb. 26.

The event is sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Monroe County.
