Spring Table Centerpiece

I think of decorating as layers. Whether that is in a room design, a Christmas Tree design or a table setting. It is the layers that make something come together and create a moment.

Spring & Summer Style- Country Cottage Table

There is something about warm summer nights dining out under the stars. Whether it is a little table for two in the garden, a quiet spot by the lion fountain for a bistro set or a long table to entertain friends and family. Setting a beautiful table is a favorite thing over here. And the method to my madness? Pretty on repeat, ambiance & simple elegance. Today it is all about a country cottage table style.

visiting the loire valley – MY FRENCH COUNTRY HOME

For the first time this year, we are taking guests to visit the Loire Valley. This fertile region of France, best known for its spectacular chateaux, is also renowned for its pleasant climate and gentle living.

I wanted to design a tour for our guests that would include some chateaux visits, with a few gardens (of course!), some shopping, a cooking class and lots of good food and wine along the way. This is the foundation, and once I had that, I started adding in other ideas.

Last year, I drove down to the Loire with my husband, to test

Lowe’s Home Improvement is looking at this spot in far north Fort Worth for a new store

Lowe’s Home Improvement appears to be eyeballing a site for a 12th retail store in Tarrant County.

The North Carolina-based company with nearly 2,200 stores in the US and Canada is seeking a permit for a drainage study of about 14 acres along Avondale Haslet Road near US 81 in far north Fort Worth.

The site appears to be adjacent to the Walmart Supercenter that anchors this fast-growing corridor that’s already home to numerous fast-food restaurants and apartments.

Lowe’s already has a store in Keller on North Tarrant Parkway, about 15 miles away from the site, plus other stores in

The makeover of the Brassfield Shopping Center — more than three years in — will soon feature the reopening of the campus’ 10-screen theater and a new-to-North Carolina outlet concept from Lowe’s Home Improvement.

Also on their way is the third Triad location of The Habit Burger chain out of California, along with a Trek cycling store and an Indigo Art Studio.

Golden Ticket Cinemas Inc., founded in 2016 and based in Durham, plans to reopen the center’s 27,000-square-foot theater by early summer.

Meanwhile, Lowe’s is occupying the former 36,000-square-foot SteinMart retail space at the shopping center on Battleground Avenue.

Home improvements? When a Utah couple buys a new house, they get the seller’s cat, too

A couple and their new cat have gone viral on TikTok after it was revealed that the feline was included in their recent purchase of a new home.

Tori Taillac, an aesthetic physician assistant in Salt Lake City, Utah, and her fiancé, Alex Kravets, moved into their new place last month. Eagerly awaiting them was Loki, an adventurous, outdoorsy feline who began courting the soon-to-be married couple when they first toured the house, Tilliac said.

“Most people ask for money or appliances during the seller concessions phase of buying a home — instead we asked for one of their cats,”

I was a tad quiet on the blog and social media last week -it was a week full of family fun, baby snuggles and babysitting. Our family has been so blessed with Juliette and Enzo – & we welcomed our third grand baby last week.

Welcome Jionni

A sweet little one joined our family last week. Juliette is now a big sister to baby brother Jionni. He is a tiny little bundle of joy and he looks so much like Juliette
